The Terre da Mare
The latest bottle from Tenuta, a young red wine, a blend of Sangiovese and Vernaccia Nera, in which they use neither appassimento nor wood aging. The Sangiovese softens the Vernaccia Nera, which expresses the crisp fruit with its characteristic tannin, present but not at all bitter.
Grape variety: Sangiovese, Vernaccia Nera
Vineyard: Cognoli, Croce
Harvest: manual, from mid-September to the 3rd week of October
Fermentation in steel tanks with indigenous yeasts
Maturation and aging: 3 months in steel
Enchanting red-purple color. Smell of red fruits and spices. The pleasant freshness and lively tannin, typical of young wines, stimulate the drinkability and make it pleasant to combine with food, both with regional dishes from charcuterie to meat dishes, and with seafood dishes such as mussels.
